Seung Han Ho, 69, Taken Into Custody After Shooting at K Towne Plaza in Carrollton, Texas, During Business Meeting; Two Dead, Three Injured in Rampage Over Financial Disagreements

CARROLLTON, Texas — A 69 year old man was taken into custody following a deadly shooting rampage that left two men dead and three others injured at two separate locations in Carrollton on Tuesday morning. The suspect, identified as Seung Han Ho, confessed to shooting all five victims, telling investigators he was motivated by anger over financial disagreements related to business dealings. The first shooting occurred at a business meeting in the K Towne Plaza along State Highway 121, where one man was killed and three others were wounded. Hours later, police discovered a second victim dead inside an apartment on Old Denton Road. Ho was arrested after a short foot chase in the Korea Town area.

The First Shooting: A Business Meeting Turns Deadly

The violence began at approximately 9:57 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, when Carrollton police and fire were dispatched to the 4000 block of State Highway 121 following reports of a shooting with multiple victims. This area is home to K Towne Plaza, a bustling shopping center in the heart of Carrollton’s Korea Town district, known for its Korean restaurants, markets, and businesses. The plaza is a gathering place for the local Korean American community, including entrepreneurs and business owners.

According to investigators, Seung Han Ho arrived at a business meeting inside one of the establishments. The meeting involved several individuals with whom Ho had financial disagreements. The exact nature of the business dealings has not been publicly disclosed, but Ho later confessed that his anger over these disagreements drove him to violence.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing people running from the scene. When officers arrived, they located four adult victims with apparent gunshot wounds. One male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other victims two males and one female were transported to a local hospital. All three were reported to be in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon. Their identities have not been released pending family notification.

The Second Shooting: Another Victim Found in Apartment

As detectives were investigating the K Towne Plaza shooting, officers were notified of a second reported shooting at approximately 11:13 a.m. in the 2700 block of Old Denton Road. Police responded to the location, an apartment complex, and found one deceased adult male inside an apartment. The victim had suffered gunshot wounds.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that this shooting was carried out by the same suspect, Seung Han Ho. The second victim was also connected to the business disputes that motivated Ho. It is believed that Ho traveled to the apartment after the first shooting to target another individual involved in the financial disagreements.

The Suspect: Seung Han Ho, 69, Confesses

After the second shooting, law enforcement agencies launched a manhunt for Ho. He was located in the Korea Town area near the intersection of Interstate 35 and the George Bush Turnpike, not far from the original shooting site. When officers attempted to apprehend him, Ho fled on foot, leading to a short foot chase. He was successfully taken into custody at approximately 12:12 p.m.

During subsequent interviews with detectives, Seung Han Ho confessed to shooting all five victims. He stated that he was angry at the victims due to financial disagreements related to their business dealings. Ho did not express remorse and appeared to justify his actions as a response to perceived wrongs. No weapon has been publicly identified, but police recovered a firearm at the scene or during his arrest.

Ho has been charged with capital murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held in the Carrollton City Jail pending transfer to the Denton County Jail. Bond has not been set.
