Dear Staff, Students, and Families of the North Sanpete School District,

We are providing an important clarification regarding recent information about Dixon (DJ) Farley. Earlier reports shared within the community were incorrect. DJ is currently receiving ongoing medical care, and any official updates will come directly from his family as they become available.

We recognize that the uncertainty surrounding his condition has been difficult for students, staff, and families. During this time, we ask for continued patience, understanding, and respect for the privacy of DJ and his loved ones. Our thoughts remain with them as they navigate this challenging situation.

To support our school community, a crisis response team will be present at the high school on Monday morning. These trained professionals will be available to provide emotional support, guidance, and a safe space for anyone who may need assistance processing their thoughts or feelings.

In addition, the district encourages a community gesture of support for DJ and his family. Students and staff are invited to wear blue clothing along with mismatched socks as a symbol of unity, hope, and encouragement.

A special tribute event has also been organized. The School of Rock will host a free Beatles concert this Friday dedicated to DJ. The event will include participation from his cousin, John Oldroyd, and is intended to bring the community together in support, reflection, and care.
